". . . be sure that you obey all the decrees and laws I am setting before you today."

Deut 11:32

A Test from the Ten Commandments:

The ten commandments are one way that God gets our attention and points out that all of us are guilty.  If we want to see if our actions are in right standing with God's law, the ten commandments are a good place to start.  We will examine a few of the commandments here:

ONE - You shall have no other Gods before me.

Take a second to examine your life.  Think about the way you spend your time, the entries in your checkbook, etc.  Basically, what are your priorities?  Is God your highest priority?  If not, you are guilty of breaking the first and most important commandment.

THREE - You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

Have you ever used the name of God as a cuss word?  Perhaps you have hit your thumb with a hammer and chosen to use the name of Jesus instead of another alternative for human waste, thus putting the name of Jesus on the level of human waste.  Even the name of Hitler was not despised enough to use as a cuss word.  Are you guilty of this blasphemy?
