SEVEN - You shall not commit adultery. In the book of Matthew Jesus says that if you have ever looked at another person lustfully you have committed adultery in your heart. Have you broken this commandment? EIGHT - You shall not steal. Have you ever stolen anything? The value is irrelevant. Ever taken a pack of gum? Played games on a computer while being paid by the hour? If so you are guilty of breaking the eighth commandment. We have only examined four of the 10 commandments. Have you always honored your father and mother? Have you ever coveted after something someone else had? As we go through the list it is obvious. All of us are guilty and deserving of God's punishment. |
