"Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

   Acts 2:21

If we are to be effective in reaching people for the Lord Jesus it is very important that we understand that a person can be instantly changed and saved by Jesus when they call out to Him.

Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." and Acts 2:21 says, "Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

As far as the Bible is concerned, being born again involves a few things.

1. Admit that you are a sinner.  Humble yourself before God and confess that you need Him to save you. (1 John 1:9)
2. Believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and is alive today.  He is waiting to hear from you. (Romans 10:9-10)
3. Confess Jesus as Lord; Lord of all things and specifically, Lord of your life. (Matt 10:32)
4. Open up your life and heart to Him (Rev 3:20)
5. Surrender to His will and plan for your life.  Repent (turn from your sins) and begin living for Him.

If you are reading this and you have not repented and received Jesus, you can do it right now.  There are many ways to cry out to Jesus but a relationship with Him starts with an introduction.  Pray to Him now.  Tell Him you realize you are guilty.  Tell Him that you are sorry and want to change.  Tell Him you know you need Him to do a work in you and make you born again.  You can start over with His grace today!
