"For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost."
                      Luke 19:10

Literally, to be Christian means to be one who 'comes from or is associated with' Christ.  For example, a Norwegian is one who is from Norway.  A politician is one who is associated with politics.  So, for those who use the name Christian, it is very important that we come from and associate ourselves with the mission of Christ.

Jesus' mission statement was found in Luke 19:10
TO SEEK AND SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST.

If we want to be Christ-like, we must take up that same mission for our own life.  At reach the lost we are convinced that this statement by Jesus should be the highest priority in every believer's life.

Ask yourself this question: "Why did Jesus come to earth?"  Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the Bible knows the answer.  It was to reconcile man to Himself.  It was to restore the relationship that was broken between man and God as a result of rebellion.  Everything He did on earth had this mission in mind and now, as He has returned to Heaven, the mission has been left to us, as stated in 1 Corinthians 5:18, "All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation."

God has called each of us to love Him with all of our hearts and He has commanded us to show that love through loving others by sharing the Gospel (Good News) with those around us.  Are you willing to show this kind of love?
